Ingredients to Make Macaroni Bisibele Bath:
- Bambino macaroni – 3 cups
- Red gram dal -3 cups
- Tamarind – 40g
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Red chillies – 3-4
- Mustard seeds – 2 tsp
- Black gram dal -1 tsp
- Curry leaves – a few
- Turmeric powder -1 Pinch
- Green chillies- 3-4
- Vegetables – Brinjal – 2 (Small sized)
- Onion – 1 (Medium sized)
- Carrot – 1 (Medium sized)
- Drumsticks- 2 (Optional)
- Salt to taste
- Sambar Powder / Bisibelebath masala- 2tsp
- Roasted cashews – 5-7
- Coriander leaves- a few.
Method to Make Macaroni Bisibele Bath
Boil water (for 1 cup of Bambino Pasta Macaroni , add 5 cups of water). Add Bambino Pasta Macaroni, 1 tsp salt and ½ tsp oil.
After macaroni is cooked, remove from flame and strain it. Now run cold water through it and keep aside. Boil Toor dal and keep aside. Soak tamarind in little water and extract juice.
Heat oil in frying pan and fry red chillies, mustard seeds, Black gram dal, curry leaves, turmeric powder, green chillies vegetables (Brinjal, Onion, Carrot , Drumsticks) till they cooked.
Add 1 liter of water. Now add tamarind juice, cooked red gram dal, salt and keep for 5- 6 minutes. Add Sambar Powder/ Bisibelebath masala. Add cooked Macaroni and mix well.
Add roasted cashews. Now remove from flame, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot. Note: On interest, ghee (2 tsp) can be added just before serving.
